Zambia: Elder brother prevails as Power Dynamos go top

Power Dynamos head coach Osward Mutapa prevailed over his younger sibling Perry as the reigning champions beat Green Eagles 1–0 on Wednesday (Match Highlights) in Zambia’s MTN Super League.

Osward Mutapa’s Dynamos faced Eagles, led by his younger brother Perry, at Arthur Davies Stadium in Lusaka. Zambian international Dominic Chanda scored the lone goal of the game for Dynamos in the 36th minute via a header.

The defending  champions held on to their lead despite having finished the game with ten men following the dismissal of Samuel Ayodeji in the 68th minute. He picked a second consecutive yellow card during the match to earn the dismissal.

In a post-match interview, Osward Mutapa explained how his team overcame younger brother Perry’s charges.

The reigning champions top the MTN Super League table with 32 points from 16 games. The Kitwe-based team will now face Mufulira Wanderers away from home over the weekend.
