Hearts of Oak’s title contention was jolted by Dreams FC following Friday’s 0-0 draw at the Legon Sports Stadium in a Week 19 match from the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts of Oak had picked up three points at Hohoe United last week with Dreams aiming to pick up their first away victory of the campaign.
The hosts came close to opening the floodgate when Hussein Mohammed missed a glorious opportunity to put them ahead but he failed to round Dreams goalkeeper Rahman Osman after a quick break with just 10 minutes played.
Hearts of Oak had a lot of touches in the opposition half but the attackers lacked the final touch to convert those efforts into goals by halftime.
Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare made a timely save at the beginning of the second half to keep the Phobians in the game after they had fluffed a number of scoring chances from Hussein Mohammed and Hamza Issah.
For a moment, Dreams thought they had taken the lead when Razak Salifu finished from Seidu Suraj’s through-pass but the young forward was flagged offside in the 53rd minute. A minute after the disallowed goal, experienced Dreams striker John Antwi was denied by Asare.
Hearts of Oak had Asare to thank once again when he parried a goal bound effort. Dreams looked the better side, producing some fine work in the Hearts penalty area area but equally failed to execute them.
The game finished goalless with Hearts of Oak collecting a point to go level on 32 points with Aduana and reigning champions GoldStars, who will clear their week 19 fixture on Sunday. Dreams moved to 8th on the league log with 24 points from 19 games.
