South Sudan giants Jamus SC have completed the signing of right back George Gerige Atendele Mawa, securing his services on a two-year contract as they continue to strengthen their squad.
The defender makes the switch from Uganda Premier League side NEC FC, bringing with him vast top-flight experience and a reputation as one of the most energetic and reliable fullbacks in the region.
Confirming the move through their official communication channels, Jamus SC expressed delight at landing the highly-rated defender.
“The management of the club is delighted to announce the official signing of South Sudan international right back Atendele Mawa. The player joins the team on a two-season contract, arriving from the Ugandan Premier League. This signing is a strategic move to bolster our defensive options with international experience and clinical pace,” the club stated.
The club further praised Atendele’s qualities, describing him as one of the most exciting fullbacks around, admired for his technical ability, pace, and knack for creating decisive moments from wide areas.
Atendele brings with him a rich domestic pedigree, having previously featured for Arua Hill SC, Onduparaka FC, Wakiso Giants FC, and NEC FC, where he has steadily built a reputation as a consistent performer.
At Jamus SC, he joins a growing Ugandan contingent that includes Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Ezra Bida, Richard Anyama, Rashid Anyama, and Jude Ssemugabi, further strengthening the club’s regional identity and ambition.
