Pyramids FC have officially announced the signing of young Zambian talent Pascal Phiri from ZESCO United, making him the club’s third acquisition during the current January winter transfer window.
Phiri, 20, was born on July 17, 2005, and plays primarily as a right winger. Pyramids described the player as one of Zambia’s most promising emerging talents, highlighting his attacking potential.
The young winger has previously represented Zambia at various youth levels and has also made one appearance for the Zambian senior national team, featuring in a match against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Phiri becomes the third signing for Pyramids this winter, following the arrivals of Palestinian midfielder Hamed Hamdan from Petrojet and Zamalek star Nasser Maher.
Pyramids currently sit second in the Nile Egyptian League standings with 27 points, trailing leaders Ceramica Cleopatra by five points. However, Pyramids still have two postponed matches, and winning both would see them move to the top of the table.
On the continental stage, Pyramids also occupy second place in their CAF Champions League group, level on points with leaders RS Berkane but behind on goal difference. They hold a six-point advantage over Rivers United the third-placed team, putting them in a strong position in the race for qualification to the knockout stages.
