Iñno Jospin Loemba: Simba SC unveil Congolese midfielder

Simba SC have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Iñno Jospin Loemba, a Congolese citizen from Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo in Cameroon.

The 21-year-old arrives at the Tanzanian Premier League outfit just a few days after they unveiled Ivorian winger Anicet Oura as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Finnish club IF Gnistan.

Simba are in a rebuilding process under coach Steve Barker following their poor start to the CAF Champions League campaign where they are yet to win a single game from three outings.

The Msimbazi Reds are currently sitting bottom of Group D with zero points, and could miss out on reaching the knockout stage of the lucrative competition if they don’t win their remaining three group matches.

Loemba could debut against Mashujaa FC

In a recent interview, Barker admitted Simba needed to strengthen specific to be able to compete with the best. He said: “The important part is to get the team together and get the group focused. We cannot compete at the level we desire if we are vulnerable in such a specialist position.

“This is a normal process when you are building a strong and competitive team. We need to have a complete squad so that our preparations can be effective.”

Just like Oura, Loemba could be available for his debut when Simba take on Mashujaa FC in a rescheduled Mainland Premier League fixture at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Coastal Union of Tanga, popularly known as Wagosi wa Kaya, have officially confirmed the signing of JKT Tanzania attacking midfielder Shiza Kichuya in the short transfer window, a move that is expected to give the team new strength for the rest of the season.

Kichuya, who is a player with extensive experience in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League, has previously played for big clubs with fierce competition, including Simba, where he showed a high level and attracted fans with his ability to possess the ball, make final passes and score important goals.

His arrival at Coastal Union is said to be part of the Wagosi wa Kaya technical bench’s plan to strengthen the squad, especially the attacking midfielder area, which has been in need of more creativity and sharpness.
