“In Germany it’s like I’m so aggressive, I’m so nasty on the pitch, always go to duels and never miss my duels so I’m the kind of player who always goes hard on the player and the opponent and always want to give everything for the fans also,” Afeez Aremu told Aberdeen TV.

Aberdeen currently sit 7th in the Scottish Premiership table with 28 points from 23 games and Afeez Aremu wants to help the club reach higher heights.

“Aberdeen always play in Europe and that is where they belong but I think on the table that’s not where they belong and I think they have the chance to push forward for this European competition and hopefully I’m here to add to the strength of the team to make this happen.”

Afeez Aremu becomes the club’s fifth signing of the January window, following the arrivals of Lyall Cameron, Liam Morrison, Toyosi Olusanya, and Per Kristian Bråtveit.

Aberdeen’s next match will be away to Kilmarnock for their week 24 fixture on Saturday, January 31 at 3:00PM.
