Congolese giants TP Mazembe have announced the appointment of experienced tactician, Slimane Raho as the club’s new head coach.
Raho signs for the Ravens until the end of the season, replacing veteran Senegalese coach Lamine Mamadou Ndiaye who left the club after their 2-1 win against Sanga Balende.
A statement on the club’s website read: “TP Mazembe is pleased to announce the appointment of Slimane Raho as head coach of the Ravens’ first team. The 51-year-old Franco-Algerian coach, well-known to the TP Mazembe family, will sign a contract running until the end of the season with the Kamalondo club.

“He was chosen by the management to succeed Lamine Mamadou Ndiaye. Slimane Raho and TP Mazembe are joining forces today with a shared vision of improved playing style and performance.
“The club is delighted to welcome this new architect of the Mazembe game, unanimously recognized for his personal and technical qualities, and renowned for his ability to develop top talent.”
Lamine Ndiaye, 69, made a second stint at the club after previously working as a manager and technical director between 2010 and 2014.
Under his guidance, TP Mazembe won one CAF Champions League and two CAF Super Cups, participating in the 2010/11 FIFA Club World Cup.
TP Mazembe are on top of the DR Congo league table on 42 points from 17 matches with two outstanding games with Slimane Raho expected to continue the good works of Ndiaye.
