Al-Hilal Omdurman top official has rewarded the team’s coaches and players following their 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.
The Sudanese club stunned the South African giants to go top of the CAF Champions’ League Group C. The previous week, Laurentiu Reghecampf’s men forced the Betway Premiership holders to a home two-all draw.

In recognition of such a feat, Al Hilal Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer Tom Tahami, has provided the squad financial incentives, according to the club’s statement.
“In continuation of his approach to supporting and demonstrating the football team in all events, the Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hilal Club, Engineer Tom Tahami provided a special incentive to the members of the technical staff and players, on the occasion of the remarkable results achieved recently, especially at the group stage of the African Champions League,” reads the statement.
Meanwhile, Al Hilal delegation has left for Algeria ahead of the Champions League group-stage meeting with MC Alger on Friday.
However, the Sudanese team might arrive late in Algiers after missing a direct flight connection while in transit via Doha, Qatar, according to the club’s statement released on Tuesday.
“Al Hilal had to make a new reservation for its delegation from Doha to Turkey and then to Algeria, because of not catching up with the time of the flight, which was going to take the mission directly To Algeria from Doha,” reads the statement.
The Sudanese team is expected to arrive in Algeria in two batches.
Reghecampf ‘s side lead the group with eight points, three points ahead of second-placed Sundowns. MC Alger are placed third and FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo sit bottom.
