Youssouf Ndayishimiye voted Nice’s player of the month

Burundi national team player Youssouf Ndayishimiye has been voted as Player of the Month at French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice for March.

The 26-year-old center back started all league games for Nice during the month of March. Nice had by all measures a poor performance in March as they lost two games. At the center of the defense, Ndayishimiye helped Nice to beat Saint-Etienne. He also had decent performances against Monaco and Auxerre.

Nice coach Franck Haise usually deploys the Burundian as a center back. Nevertheless, he can also play as a defensive midfielder amongst other defensive positions. Ndayishimiye has appeared twenty times for Nice in the ongoing league season with one goal.

He was an unused substitute when Burundi demolished Seychelles 5-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.
