Simba SC Media Officer Ahmed Ahly has made it clear the Tanzanian Premier League giants will not lose twice against Stade Malien as the two sides face off in their final group fixture of the CAF Champions League.
The Msimbazi Reds will host the Malian outfit for the final Group D fixture at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium having failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition. Simba are currently lying last in the group without a win having secured one point.

The two sides met in matchday two on November 30, 2025, with Stade Malien emerging 2-1 winners. While Simba are struggling, Stade Malien are topping the group, and will be seeking a win to increase their tally of points.
“Simba are not ready to lose twice against Stade Malien against the same opponent. We have been defeated by other teams like Al Ahly but when they come to Mkapa we beat them back,” Ally told Pan-Africa Football.
“This is Simba’s philosophy. As it was with Petro it will be the same thing against Stade Malien. It will not happen that Simba loses two matches against the same opponent.”
Ally added: “We want victory in the game against Stade Malien. On Saturday we will fight as hard as we can to get results in the game. One important thing is that the whole world will be watching this match.”
On Simba’s unconvincing season in the competition, Ally said: “This season we have not had any wins at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the League. These results have made the Simba fans lose faith in winning at that stadium, now we are going to erase this notion.
“We are going to restore the belief that for Mkapa it is our home and we can win. The goal of this game is to restore confidence to the players and fans.”
Ally continued: “We know the game is not of any importance because we have already failed to qualify, but we want every Simba fan to see it as a big game. It is an important game for us. Even if we have done poorly in the group stage, we want to go and make our fans proud.”
On Simba’s failure to reach the Round of 16, he said: “I apologise to Simba fans, we are used to going to the quarterfinals but this year failed to reach the target, and that is normal in life.
“There are times when you do well and there are times when you do poorly, if you lose, you sit down and plan for next season.”
Simba have already shifted focus to the Mainland Premier League where they defeated KMC 2-0 on Wednesday.
