Mali international El Bilal Toure is set for a number of weeks on the sidelines after picking up a thigh injury in Besiktas Super Lig match against Istanbul Başakşehir last weekend.
The 24-year-old was forced out of the game in the 34th minute where Besiktas won 3-2 over Istanbul at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium on Sunday February 15.

Besiktas made the announcement on Monday concerning the injury situation of the Mali midfielder.
“Our football player El Bilal Toure, who was unable to continue playing in the 34th minute of the Trendyol Super Lig match against Rams Başakşehir due to pain in his left hamstring, underwent an MRI at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital.
The scan revealed bleeding and a tear in the tendon of his left hamstring (biceps femoris).El Bilal Toure’s treatment has been started by our medical team.” The club announced.
Toure, who is on loan from Serie A side Atalanta, has made 16 league appearances with five goals and five assists for Besiktas in the current Turkish Super Lig campaign.
El Bilal Toure played four matches as Mali suffered a 1-0 quarter final loss against eventual Africa Cup of Nations winners Senegal. He previously played in Germany for VFB Stuttgart, Ligue 1 side Reims and Almeria in Spain.
