Cameroon international Karl Etta Eyong has been the subject of transfer rumors as La Liga side Levante plan to sell him to Russia club CSKA Moscow.
However the 22-year-old has no immediate intentions of moving to the Horses, who have reportedly tabled a mouthwatering deal for the marauding forward.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, CSKA Moscow have made available a whopping “€30m fixed fee but Etta Eyong prefers to stay and move in the summer to a European club.”
Etta Eyong has a running Levante contract until June 2029 but the Frogs are looking to cash in on the Douala born striker to help balance their books.

The youngster has been in fine form for Levante in the current La Liga campaign, where he has scored 6 goals in 22 appearances with 3 assists. However, his form has notably decreased since returning from 2025 Africa Cup of Nations duty with Cameroon, failing to score in seven matches.
The former Villarreal forward played four games with one goal as the Indomitable Lions exited the 2025 AFCON at the quarterfinal stage after their defeat against hosts Morocco.

Etta Eyong who began his career with local side École de Football Galactique before joining the youth side of Cadiz in 2022, has seven caps for the five time African champions, scoring his debut in Cameroon’s 1-0 win against Gabon at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Cameroon international Karl Etta Eyong has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Russian giants CSKA Moscow despite Levante’s willingness to negotiate a deal.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, CSKA Moscow submitted a substantial €30 million fixed bid for the 22-year-old forward. However, Etta Eyong has no immediate intention of making the switch to Russia and instead prefers to remain in Spain before pursuing a move to another European league in the summer.
The Karl Etta Eyong transfer rumors have gathered momentum in recent days, with Levante reportedly open to cashing in on the striker to balance their financial books.
Despite being under contract with Levante until June 2029, the club appears willing to listen to offers — particularly one as significant as €30 million.
Romano revealed that although CSKA Moscow placed a strong financial package on the table, Etta Eyong declined the move. The Cameroonian attacker is said to be focused on continuing his development in La Liga and potentially attracting interest from top European leagues.
The situation reportedly led to him being benched in a recent match, sparking speculation about his future at the club.
For Levante, the Karl Etta Eyong transfer rumors represent a potential opportunity to generate substantial revenue.
The “Frogs” are believed to be looking for ways to stabilize their financial situation, and selling one of their most valuable assets could provide breathing room.
However, the player’s reluctance complicates matters. With several years remaining on his contract, Levante are not under immediate pressure to sell unless a mutually agreeable solution is reached.
Karl Etta Eyong has enjoyed a solid 2025–26 La Liga campaign, registering:
6 goals
3 assists
22 appearances
His pace, strength, and direct attacking style have made him a key offensive outlet for Levante.
However, his form dipped after returning from international duty at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he represented the Cameroon national football team.
Since coming back from AFCON, he has gone seven matches without scoring — a run that has fueled debate about fatigue and confidence levels.
