With the contract finalized back in January, the 28-year-has the option to extend the deal for one more year if he performs to the satisfaction of the technical team.
Boateng shared his excitement about the move, saying he is eager to get started, meet everyone at the club and help make it a memorable season for HJK.
“I am really excited to join HJK. I can’t wait to get started and meet everyone. Let’s make this a great season!” he said.
The midfielder moved to Europe in 2018 after winning the Super Cup with Aduana Stars, joining Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv before securing a four-year deal at Swedish side Elfsborg.
He signed for Turkish outfit Konyaspor in January 2024, before joining HJK as a free agent following the end of his deal.
