Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia suffered a huge blow in their quest to reclaim the FKF Premier League after striker Felix Oluch was ruled out of the rest of the season.
The news comes at a time when Gor Mahia are firmly leading the FKF Premier League table in their pursuit to wrestle the title from Kenya Police FC.

A statement published on their social media pages confirmed Oluoch will not be involved after undergoing for an osteochondral injury, and torn meniscus.
“Felix Oluoch successfully underwent knee surgery for an osteochondral injury and torn meniscus yesterday. He is stable and is expected to return to play in 12 weeks, depending on his rehabilitation progress and recovery milestones achieved,” read part of the statement.
Gor Mahia coach Charles Akonnor further confirmed the injury news admitting Oluoch will miss the rest of the season.
“Felix is now out, probably until next season. Ebenezer Assifuah is our main striker, and we have to manage him carefully to navigate the remaining matches without a major setback,” Akonnor said as quoted by Gor Mahia website.
The Ghanaian legend added: “We may have to add another striker when the window opens as we aim to raise our standards for bigger competitions.
“It’s challenging, but such are the situations we face. We will have to make certain decisions to balance the team while maintaining focus through the season. Depending on the circumstances, we will make choices that are of great significance to the squad.”
Gor Mahia are currently sitting top with 49 points, six more than second-placed and rivals AFC Leopards, while Shabana are third with 40 points.
