Malawi national team coach Kalisto Pasuwa has selected only home-based players in the squad to participate in a four-nation tournament later in March.
The Flames will face hosts Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia during the weeklong warm up for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The warm-up tournament is scheduled from 23 to 31 March 2026 in Botswana.
Pasuwa has handed maiden senior national team call-ups to defenders Dan Sandukira, Hermas Masinja and Charles Mafaiti, as well as forward Wallace Adam.

Ahead of the invitational tournament, the Zimbabwean named a 23-member home-based squad for camp training in Blantyre from this weekend.
Taking advantage of the March FIFA window for international matches, the AFCON warm up will be played at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.
There are a few new faces in Pasuwa ’s squad including defenders Dan Sandukira from Silver Strikers, Ekhaya FC’s Hermas Masinja and Charles Mafaiti (Civo United), as well as forward Wallace Adam of Mighty Wanderers.
All foreign-based stars, who will be available during the FIFA window, including captain Gabadinho Mhango, have been excluded.
