Ghana: Frimpong Manso aims to continue Nations FC’s unbeaten streak

Head coach of Nations FC Stephen Frimpong Manso says he is bent on continuing the club’s unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League.

Nations posted a breathtaking performance in week 25, beating Bechem United 3-0 at the Dr. Kyei Sports Complex on Friday.

The win extended Nations FC’s unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League to three games, giving them confidence ahead of their tough week 26 fixture against record holders Asante Kotoko.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Frimpong Manso praised his players for a good performance, insisting that the target is to stretch their unbeaten run.

Nations FC have recorded two wins and draw

“I think in the first half we took control and controlled the game. We had two goals, and in the second half, they also came in the midfield and tried to play.

“All the same, it’s a good score line, but we need to know when to go for a goal and when to hold onto the ball. For us, it was a good game. We scored two goals last week, and this week we have scored three, so it tells us we are improving with our goal scoring,” Frimpong Manso said.

“We have gone three games without a defeat now. We want to keep our unbeaten run going forward.”

Nations FC now sit in 8th on the league table with 34 points from 24 matches.

Leaders Medeama’s title ambitions will face a stern test when they host strugglers Hohoe United at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Sunday while record holders Asante Kotoko travel to the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale as guests of Karela United.
