The Accra-born Nigerien striker has now spent over five years in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, finding success in Belarus before spending time in Ukraine and now Kazakhstan. Sosah opened the scoring with sliding finish in the 24th minute as the hosts defeated Tobol by a 4-1 score.

Following the opening goal, the visitors imploded. A failed penalty kick after the half hour mark was followed by a red card shortly after.

It took less than a minute after halftime before Aktobe doubled their lead when Sosah set up Swedish attacker Ajdin Zeljkovic for a low finish. The hosts went on to add another two goals in the second half, with the Nigerian adding a second assist when his header set up an effort from distance.

Sosah got off to a strong start when he joined his current club midway through the 2025 season when he helped Aktobe to a surprise first leg victory over Sparta Prague in UEFA Conference League qualifying. However, he failed to build on that performance and could manage only two goals in eleven Kazakh Premier League appearances.

But the Ghanaian-born forward, who spent his early club career with Nigerien club AS FAN before being naturalized to represent the West African nation, has saved his best for when he dons the shirt of the Ménas.

He scored three goals in four 2026 World Cup qualifying matches for Niger against Tanzania, Congo and Zambia. Sosah has 15 goals in 33 appearances since scoring on his international debut in 2021 against Algeria.
