Zimbabwe: Billiat starts from bench as Scottland FC flounder

Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) debutants Hardrock FC produced a brave performance to frustrate expensively assembled Scottland FC to a barren draw on Sunday.

The match played at Chahwanda Stadium, where former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat started from the substitutes’ bench, produced the first shock of the opening round of the 2026-2027 season.

Hardrock, led by highly rated Zambian coach Kelvin Kaindu in his first game in charge, built their victory on the resilience of goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaunga, defence of Shelton Sibanda while Castle Lager PSL Soccer Star of the Year Washington Navaya led the attack.
