The announcement was made on Tuesday by the club’s Electoral Commission following the completion of the nomination and verification process.

Mandela stood unopposed after emerging as the only candidate whose nomination met all the required conditions.
According to the commission chairperson, Brian Kajubi, the process concluded after the candidate’s credentials were reviewed and approved by the club’s Board of Trustees.
“With only Mr. Omar Ahmed Hussein as the validly nominated and approved candidate, the commission hereby declares him duly elected for a term of five years,” read part of the official communication.
Mandela first assumed office in November 2021 and has since overseen a significant rebuilding phase at the club. During his tenure, emphasis has been placed on improving administrative structures, enhancing player welfare, and building a competitive squad capable of competing for major honours both domestically and on the continental stage.
Established in 1975, SC Villa popularly known as the Jogoos remain the most decorated club in Ugandan football history, having lifted 17 league titles, nine Uganda Cups, and three CECAFA Club Championships.
