Morocco international Noussair Mazraoui trained with the Manchester United squad as they prepare for their Premier League fixture against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Atlas Lion trained with the entire squad at Carrington on Wednesday. Mazraoui was forced to leave the field in the 85th minute in some discomfort, after appearing to be hurt in a challenge with Joe Willock, during the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United last time out.

His injury sparked fears about the defender’s fitness, ahead of Sunday’s league game. However, in a statement, United have confirmed Mazraoui will be available to face Aston Villa.
“The 28-year-old was part of the main group when our MUTV cameras were present for the latest session at our base, with build-up continuing to the weekend assignment at Old Trafford,” read a statement on Man United website.
“It is good news for head coach Michael Carrick, with the Midlanders one of our competitors for a top-four slot that would guarantee a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.”
Mazraoui forced his way back into the reckoning, following his 2025 Africa Cup of Nations involvement with Morocco, as the hosts ended up reaching the final.
He has played in six of seven games since being available again for selection, only being an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw at West Ham United.
After coming on as a 24th-minute substitute for Luke Shaw, who was ill, in the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, he operated at left-back.
The Newcastle clash represented his first start since AFCON and he played on the right-hand side of the defence.
