Another recent signing, Nigerian international Salim Lawal, suffered an injury in the opening ten minutes but Guinean striker Touré came on to spark the home victory. The 20-year-old was in the right spot to turn in after a shot from Cheick Souaré was saved in his direction.
Touré was a danger all match with his high activity in the penalty area throughout the match. While he will feel that he could have scored more goals on the day, the performance could lead to a first start after making two previous substitute appearances.
The Guinean arrived in early February from Finnish club KuPS, where Touré enjoyed a breakthrough 2025 campaign with 14 goals in all competitions for the Veikkausliiga champions. He finished tied for fifth on the Finnish top flight’s scoring chart.
The result maintains his club’s third place standing on the table. Only four matches remain before the league splits into groups for the final stretch, with the club safely nestled in the championship group in third place. They are fourteen points back of league leaders Slavia Prague and will next host Teplice after the upcoming FIFA window on April 4.
