David Abagna: Ex-Ghana Premier League star joins Ordabasy

Former Ghana Premier League star, David Abagna Sandan has made a move to Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Ordabasy.

The 27-year-old moves to the Kazhimukan Munaitpasov Stadium having gathered experience across Al Hilal of Sudan, Petrocub of Moldova and APOEL Nicosia of Cyprus.

Ordabasy confirmed the transfer on Wednesday, March 18 on their social handles, ushering the former Wa All Stars midfielder into a new chapter of his career.

Abagna won Ghana League with defunct Wa All Stars

Abagna arrives in Shymkent with a rich resume, having previously played for Ghanaian sides Wa All Stars which metamorphosed into Legon Cities, Ashanti Gold and Real Tamale United. He has also represented the Ghana national team B, earning seven caps in the process.

He won the Ghana Premier League and the Super Cup with Wa All Stars in 2016 season before spells at the defunct AshantiGold and Real Tamale United.

Abagna’s European trophy cabinet includes the Moldovan Super Liga and the Moldovan Cup in the 2023/24 season.

He won the Cypriot Super Cup with APOEL Nicosia in the 2024 season and he is expected to add a lot of bite in the midfield set up of Ordabasy.
