Philip Otele: Hamburg forward fit for Dortmund clash

Hamburg has confirmed that forward Philip Otele is fit for Saturday’s Bundesliga Matchday 27 encounter with Borussia Dortmund.

Otele recently missed the matches against Bayer Leverkusen and FC Köln due to a combination of a groin strain and illness.

Confirmation on Otele’s recovery

The German club made this known via their official website, as they stated the winger has recovered from his illness and is now available for the match.

“Meanwhile, all remaining players are available, including Philip Otele and Albert Grönbaek, who were recently ill. The squad for the Dortmund match will be decided after the final training session on Friday.”

The 26-year-old joined Die Rothosen from Swiss outfit FC Basel in January. Since his arrival, Otele has made six league appearances for Hamburg, recording one assist.

The former Al Wahda star also received his first-ever call-up to Nigeria’s Super Eagles this week for the upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan.
