Ghana Premier League: Medeama lead set for harsh test at Dreams fc

League leaders Medeama will be on the road to Dreams fc in match day 26 of the Ghana Premier League, a game they need to win to keep their title chances alive.

The Mauve and Yellow have blown cold in their last five matches, picking three draws and two losses on the road.

Ahead of their trip to Dreams fc on Sunday, the former champions have a tall order and head coach Ibrahim Tanko admits to the challenge.

Medeama have not won in last five matches

“There has been pressure from day one in the league and I think we still have nine games to play and we are leading the table do definitely teams who are behind us are giving us pressure but I don’t think we have to panic, Ibrahim Tanko told MEDi TV.

“We have to go game by game win the hope that in the end we will win the league.

“There is no guarantee in football and we are preparing very well and we are playing against a team that has not lost in the last five games and we are playing against them in the MTN FA Cup semifinals so definitely it’s going to be a difficult game.”

Dreams fc on the other hand have chalked an impressive run, recording just a defeat in their last nine matches.

The “Still Believe Boys” are 12th on the league table on 31 points with Medeama atop the table on 46 points, one point better than defending champions GoldStars heading into week 26.
