Trabzonspor reportedly unwilling to sell Paul Onuachu amid Saudi interest

Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor is reportedly unwilling to sell Paul Onuachu this summer, despite mounting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and across Europe.

Onuachu joined his current club on a permanent transfer from English Championship side Southampton for approximately €5.6m last summer. Since then, the 31-year-old striker has made a significant impact in Turkey, establishing himself as a vital component of the squad.

The Nigeria international has been in sensational form, registering 23 goals and two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions for the “Black Sea Storm.”

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ahli reportedly holds a strong interest in the prolific goal scorer, who currently leads the Turkish top flight in goals. They are prepared to offer the striker a salary four times higher than his current earnings.

However, Onuachu is reportedly reluctant to leave the club at this time, having formed a deep connection with the supporters. He remains under contract with Fatih Tekke’s side until June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional year.
