The young centre-back played three games as the Teranga Lions romped to a 1-0 win over hosts Morocco with the finals now under contention at the Court of Arbitration for Sports [CAS].
At Chelsea, he has so far made five appearances across league, FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
He shared some words about how he is settling to life at the Blues.
“Every footballer goes through moments like that. The important thing is to get back up and move on to something else,” he said.
Sarr has no regrets about leaving RC Strasbourg, a side he joined on loan from Chelsea.
He played 15 games in the Ligue 1 before his abrupt end to his loan move.
“I have no regrets about leaving Strasbourg, because I’m joining a big club where you have to make your mark to get playing time.”
Mamadou Sarr is part of Senegal’s squad that will battle Peru and the Gambia in the two international friendlies this month.
The Teranga Lions will face Peru at the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday, March 27 and then go home to Dakar to play Gambia on March 31.
Senegal are paired in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside former champions France, Norway with a yet to qualify opponent from the inter-confederation pathway qualifiers.
