Ghana Premier League: Ibrahim Tanko applauds player resilience

Head coach of Medeama SC Ibrahim Tanko has reacted to their victory against Eleven Wonders on Friday.

The Mauve and Yellow returned to the summit of the league table following a 2-0 win at the Tarkwa TnA Park in week 27.

Ibrahim Tanko reacted to the win over the bottom placed side.

Medeama won first game in six matches

“I think it’s very important that after six games without a win ane to have three points at home, it’s a good feeling,” Ibrahim Tanko said.

“[Eleven Wonders] are a very good side even though they are bottom of the league table and definitely we had to manage the game and well had to win the game and take the three points and the boys did it very well.

“We had to be careful and make sure that we don’t concede and I think the boys did very well.

Midfielder, Salim scored his seventh goal of the season with thundering free kick in the 28th minute and he shared some words after the game.

“We the playing are all happy that we are back to our winning ways.”

Medeama has gone six matches without a win in the current campaign.

They reclaimed the top spot with 49 points, just one point above defending champions, GoldStars who will play away to Karela United on Sunday.
