Simon Ngapandouetnbu: Montpellier keeper excited with Cameroon debut

Montpellier goalkeeper Simon Ngapandouetnbu has been left with joy after making his Cameroon debut during the March FIFA international break.

The 22-year-old was roped into the post for the Indomitable Lions’ FIFA Series game against China on Tuesday, March 31 where they defeated the Asians 2-0 in the second game.

The five time African champions began the FIFA Series with a 1-0 loss against Australia before a goal each by Etta Eyong and Saidou Alioum sealed a fine finish in the second fixture against China.

In a post match interview, Simon, who graduated from the Olympique Marseille youth system, expressed joy.

Ngapandouetnbu made debut against China

“All the glory goes to God. Proud to have made my debut with Cameroon.” He said.

The former Nimes Olympique shot stopper has collected a respectable statistics in Ligue 2 this season, manning the post in 25 games with ten clean sheets and 20 goals conceded.
