Promising Moroccan midfielder El Mourabet then proceeded to thrive in a fantastic first half for the hosts at the Stade de la Meinau. The 20-year-old, who made his senior national team debut with Morocco over the March FIFA window, sent the home supporters into joy with a fantastic strike after a corner kick was cleared out to the edge of the penalty area.
After scoring his first professional goal earlier this season in the UEFA Conference League, it was a perfect way to open his account in Ligue 1.
Six minutes earlier, the Moroccan set up Julio Enciso to double the advantage for the hosts following Godo’s opener. The damage was done to visitors Nice by that point, who could only manage a late consolation goal.
