Moroccan forward Yanis Begraoui continued his impressive form with Estoril, but his goal was not enough to prevent his side from suffering a 3-2 defeat away to Arouca.
The visitors made a strong start to the match, taking the lead as early as the 3rd minute through Xeka. Arouca responded in the 13th minute with an equalizer from Ivan Barbero, setting the tone for an open contest.
Begraoui restored Estoril’s advantage in the 32nd minute, finishing well with his right foot from inside the box after receiving a cross, making it 2-1 for the visitors.
This is Begraoui’s 7th goal in his last 10 games for Estoril.
However, Arouca came back once again, with José Fontán scoring in first-half stoppage time (45+2’) to level the score before the break.
In the second half, Pablo Gozálbez netted the decisive goal in the 55th minute, completing the comeback and sealing all three points for the hosts.
Following the result, Estoril sit in 7th place with 37 points, while Arouca are 10th with 32 points.
