Al Hilal Omdurman FC coach Laurentiu Reghecampf says his side has no excuses for dropping points during their 1-1 draw with Marine FC in the Rwanda Premier League on Monday.
The Romanian said while factors such as injuries and suspensions contributed to the result, his team should have managed the situation better.

“It was a difficult game,” Reghecampf told Al Hilal media. “We didn’t play very well. We didn’t create too many chances and that is why we made the game very easy for our opponents.
“For my team, it was a bad day. We have to be much better for the next game. We have many players from the national team. Some came back with injuries and others have yellow cards. That is why we could not use all players, but we cannot use that as an excuse.”
Al Hilal wasted a chance to go five points clear of second-placed APR FC after sharing the spoils with Marine FC.
The gap between the two teams is now three points each after having played 26 games in the 18-member log table.
The Sudanese side are based in Rwanda due to the ongoing war in their home country. Despite such challenges, Reghecampf and his charges have impressed to compete strongly in the CAF Champions League, reaching the quarterfinal stage before they exited after losing 2-1 to RS Berkane.
In other games played in Rwanda over the weekend, APR FC did themselves a favour by beating Muhanga FC 1-0 on Sunday, a day after other title candidates Al Merrikh huffed and puffed to a barren draw with Rutsiro FC.
