The Falconets will face Malawi in a two-legged tie for a place at the tournament, which is scheduled to be held in Poland from September 5 to 26.

Coach Moses Aduku’s side will host the first leg on Saturday, May 2, with the return leg scheduled for a week later in Malawi.

Invited players started reporting to camp on Monday, and training sessions commenced on Tuesday under the guidance of Coach Aduku.

The technical crew has kicked off intensive drills ahead of the crucial encounter while they await the arrival of the remaining invited players.

Malawi progressed to the final qualifying round after edging past Guinea-Bissau in their previous fixture. Africa will produce four representatives for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, which will run from September 5 to 26, 2026.
