Simba SC Head Coach Steve Barker has emerged as the best coach of the month for March in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League this season.
The South African coach beat Young Africans counterpart Pedro Goncalves and David Ouma from Singida Black Stars, who were shortlisted for the award.

In March, Barker led Simba in four games and collected eight points after winning two games and drawing two and rising to second place in the League standings.
Meanwhile, Singida Black Stars left-back Ibrahim Imoro emerged as the best player in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League for the month of March.
Imoro showed a good and consistent performance for the month including scoring three goals in five games that Singida played and helping his team climb from 10th to sixth place in the NBC Premier League standings.

The defender beat Anicet Oura of Simba and Lamine Jarjou of Singida Black Stars, with whom he entered the finals, in the Monthly Awards process conducted by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Awards Committee.
Elsewhere, Coastal Union have parted ways with coach Mohammed Muya, following unsatisfactory results in the Tanzania Premier League.
“In mutual agreement, the management of Coastal Union has decided to terminate the contract of head coach Mohammed Muya,” the club’s official statement said.
The statement further indicated that the club’s management will soon inform the public about the new structure and leadership of the technical bench.
Currently, Coastal Union occupy the 13th position in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League standings, having played 18 matches and accumulated 16 points.
