Papy Kimoto unveiled as new Singida Black Stars general manager
The Singida Black Stars Club management has reached an agreement to hire former AS Maniema Coach, Papy Kimoto as the Team General Manager, along with captain Ngoyi Dora as Assistant Coach, all signing contracts of one year and three months.
In addition, Muhibu Kanu will continue to hold the position of head coach until the end of this season, fully managing technical responsibilities in collaboration with the new Technical Bench.

The 2023-24 season, Kimoto took Maniema to the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time in history.

In 2024-25 season, he took Maniema to the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup where they were eliminated by USM Alger with an aggregate of 2-2 (away goal advantage).
He was sacked by Maniema after failing to qualify for the Confederation Cup semifinals. In another development, the acting head coach of Singida BS, Muhibu Kanu, said he had no problem continuing where other coaches left off due to knowing how to get along with the players, ensuring they do not leave the line of battle.
The Singida leadership dissolved the technical bench that was under head coach David Ouma after losing 2-0 against TRA, so the team was temporarily handed over to Kanu, assisted by Amissi Tambwe, a former Simba and Yanga star.
Kanu, who has a CAF A license, said: “I enjoy doing the job I studied, there are no personal challenges I face, I know how to get along with the players and this is not the first time I have coached a team, I have coached Pamba before it was promoted to the Premier League.”
He said he is currently focusing on doing well in the matches ahead of them, leaving the leaders to continue with their responsibilities, and when the time comes to be given other instructions, he will follow them.
