Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak suffer shocking defeat at Vision FC

Vision FC inflicted a painful 1-0 defeat on Hearts of Oak during their Week 28 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Nii Adjei Okraku Park on Saturday.

Vision FC needed a win badly to move away from the relegation zone, with Hearts of Oak wanting to close the gap on second placed Medeama who have 50 points from 28 games.

The Phobians walked into the game from a nerve wracking 1-0 victory against Young Apostles last weekend in Accra but fluffed the chance to add Vision FC to their causality list.

Vision on the other hand hosted Hearts of Oak having suffered a 2-0 loss at another struggling side Heart of Lions at the Kpando Stadium.

Both clubs failed to produce any goal in a poorly contested first half with Vision FC leaving it late to pip the record Ghana FA Cup holders.

With the victory against Hearts, secured in added time, Vision FC moved from the 15th spot to 9th on 38 points while Hearts remain in 3rd on 46 points.

On Friday, league leaders, GoldStars suffered a 2-1 loss at Aduana FC, a result that shook their lead should Medeama win against Asante Kotoko at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Sunday.
