According to a statement on the official Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) website, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have confirmed new dates for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) set for August, 2025.
The tournament, which was initially scheduled for January, 2025, was pushed to August to allow co-host nations Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania to improve on their facilities.
“The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee officially confirmed the revised dates for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) which will now take place from 2nd to 30th August 2025 across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania,” read the statement on the official FUFA website.
“The decision was made during a CAF Executive Committee meeting held on Monday, January 27th, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco.
