The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the procedure and seedings ahead of Friday's draw for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations that will take place in Morocco next year. The tournament is set to take place in July with Morocco hosting for the second consecutive edition.
The twelve participating nations were divided into four groups of three teams according to their FIFA ranking in August 2024. Below are each of the groups:
Pot 1: Morocco (hosts), South Africa, Nigeria
Pot 2: Zambia, Ghana, Tunisia
Pot 3: Mali, Senegal, Algeria
Pot 4: DR Congo, Tanzania, Botswana
South Africa are the reigning champions, defeating hosts Morocco in the final of the 2022 edition by a 2-1 score. Banyana Banyana are expected to be among the favorites once again along the hosts as well as Nigeria and potentially Zambia.
The draw will be conducted Friday evening in Salé.
