Ivory Coast manager Emerse Fae has included Sebastien Haller in the squad for upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Burundi and Gambia.
The 30-year-old, who plays as a striker for Eredivisie club Utrecht, on loan from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, has been named in the squad alongside midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin, who last played for the African champions in March, 2023.
Missing from the squad is Manchester United’s Amad Diallo, who is currently out injured, and winger Wilfried Zaha, who features for Major League Soccer club Charlotte FC, on loan from Super Lig club Galatasaray.
The Elephants are currently leading their six team Group F with 10 points from four matches. They have won three, drawn one and remain unbeaten. Gabon are second with nine points, Burundi third with seven points while Kenya’s Harambee Stars are fourth with five points.
