Mauritanian midfielder Abdellahi Nasser Dine has signed with Major League Soccer [MLS] side, New York Red Bulls on a one-year loan with an option to buy.
“Abdellahi is a talented young box to box midfielder, that possesses good speed and acceleration with and without the ball,” said Head Coach Dominik Wohlert.
“We are looking forward to having him at the club and for him to contribute to our midfield.”
The 19-year-old midfielder graduated from the Football Federation of Islamic Republic of Mauritania youth academy.
He played in the Africa’s Cup 2025, which is the same competition current Red Bull New York forward Mohammed Sofo and midfielder Ronald Donkor played in before coming to New York.
The youngster, who is yet to make a senior appearance, has four appearances for the U-20 of Mauritania.
He is expected to play with New York Red Bulls’ reserve team before he will gradually be integrated into the first team.
Nasser Dine comes from the FFRIM Academy (FIFA Talent Academy), which he joined in 2019 from the Hassan Camara center (Riyad).
An international U17 and U20 player, he participated in the UFOA U17 and COTIF tournaments and he becomes the 8th player trained at the Academy to sign abroad.
