Mali international Abdoulaye Doucouré said contract negotiations with Everton are non-existent so far. The 32-year-old midfielder is in the final year of his current deal with the Toffees.

Doucouré told Fozcast – The Ben Foster Podcast that there has not been any deal with Everton, as his future at the Merseyside outfit becomes uncertain beyond the current season.

“There have not been any talks. Personally, I don’t want to force them to give me a contract or not. I already have proposals on the table, to be honest.”

Doucouré amassed 31 league appearances and scored three times this season. He said he will decide his future in the next few weeks. “I think in the next three weeks I have to take my decision — whether I stay or not. I have propositions, honestly, but I want this to finish within three weeks so that I can announce whether I will stay or not.”

Doucouré is in his fifth year at Everton. He has been a key player for the club in recent seasons with fans asking the board to extend his stay for another year.
