Abdoulaye Doucoure: Mali midfielder gutted by Everton’s draw against Manchester United

Veteran Mali midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure is left gnashing his teeth at the result chalked at home to Manchester United in the English Premier League fixture on Saturday.


The Toffees looked extremely confident, racing to a 2-0 lead within 33 minutes or the week 26 fixture at the Goodison Park. Norberto Gomes, popularly known as Beto fired the David Moyes side ahead with just 19 minutes played before Abdoulaye Doucoure increased the tally on the 33rd minute.


The 32-year-old experienced was left gutted at the two points lost and he expressed that on his social medial account. “Gutted to dont get the win!! But we go again.” Doucoure wrote on X.


Manchester United, however, pushed harder for the a goal which popped up on the 72nd minute from the foot of Portugal forward, Bruno Fernandez. Manuel Ugarte saved the blushes of the Red Devils when he notched home the equalizer with ten minutes to full time.


Doucoure has not doubled his scoring tally to 2 goals from 23 matches with one assist to his credit. Everton sit 14th on the league table with 31 points, a step above United who have 30 points after 23 matches in the English Premier League this season.
