Abdoulie Manneh: Gambia forward on target as Mjallby crush Halmstad

Gambia forward Abdoulie Manneh was on the score sheet for Swedish Allsvenskan side, Mjallby against Halmstad BK on Wednesday evening.
Mjallby visited the Orjans Vall with an aim to upset the home side in order to keep the chase on league leaders, Hammarby.
A perfect exchange saw Jacob Bergstrom tee off Nicklas Rojkjaer in Halmstad penalty area who made no mistake in planting the ball behind the net for the opener in week 5. The 1-0 score line was however cancelled after the home club came back stronger before the half time break.
Ghana midfielder, Naeem Mohammed raced down the left side of the field where he manage to weave his way into the penalty area but he saw his strike ricochet off the upright. Ivory Coast forward, Yannick Agnero pounced on the rebound to fetch Halmstad’s equalizer on the stroke of half time.
The visitors however left nothing to chance in the second half when Abdoulie Manneh swept in a perfect assist from Jacob Berstrom on the 54th minute to pile more pressure on Halmstad. The tally was increased with 75 minutes played when Ludwig Thorell lobbed an excellent ball into the home side’s penalty area with Herman Johansson jumping higher to head home the icing on the cake.
Abdoulie Manneh has now scored two goals in five league matches this season with two assists under his belt as Mjallby move into second on the league table with 11 points from five games, one behind leaders Hammarby.
