Several top European clubs are battling for the signature of young Senegal forward Abdourahmane Mbodj.
The 17-year-old who is currently joint top scorer in Senegal’s Ligue 1 alongside Casa Sports’ Boubacar Coly, is a key player for renowned football academy Génération Foot which has produced top senior team players.

According to Top Mercato, Mbodj is attracting attention in Europe, particularly with French Ligue 1 clubs and German Bundesliga outfits.
On the European continent, three Ligue 1 clubs—Stade Rennais, LOSC Lille, and RC Lens—are closely monitoring Abdourahmane Mbodj and considering a transfer for the exciting young forward.
This season, he has scored six goals in 15 matches and provided one assist, earning him the Player of the Month award for January.
Trained at the Académie Génération Foot, renowned for having produced players like Sadio Mané, Habib Diallo, Ismaïla Sarr, and Pape Matar Sarr, he is establishing himself as one of Senegal’s most promising young strikers.
According to the same source, the interest in Abdourahmane Mbodj extends beyond France with German sides VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt monitoring his progress, while Galatasaray, who have qualified for the Champions League round of 16, have also entered into discussions.
Clubs who are showing interest in the youngster could be made to cough out in excess of €2 million to acquire Mbodj.
