Abia Warriors squash rumors of Imama Amapakabo departure

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Abia Warriors have shut down speculation surrounding the future of technical advisor Imama Amapakabo, confirming he will remain at the helm for the entire 2025-26 football season.

This comes amidst reports that Coach Amapakabo was linked with a move to fellow NPFL side, Kano Pillars.

Abia Warriors confirmed that the experienced tactician was approached by the Sai Masu Gida. But Media of Umuahia-based club Director, Solomon Igwe wasted no time in making it clear that Amapakabo is firmly committed to the club.

“He’s with us. He didn’t join Kano Pillars as alleged. No rancour whatsoever. It was Kano Pillars that went behind to poach. But it’s all in the past now. We move.”

Amapakabo is currently preparing the Umuahia-based club in their ambition and commitment to achieving their goals in the 2025-26 NPFL season.
