South Africa under-20 men’s national team striker Faiz Abrahams has made a U-turn to rejoin Stellenbosch FC after leaving Israeli club Hapoel Kfar Saba.
The Betway Premiership team confirms the return of the 20-year-old forward barely seven months after joining the Liga Leumit outfit of Israel.

“Stellenbosch FC can confirm that Faiz Abrahams (20) has returned from his loan spell with Hapoel Kfar Saba,” reads part of the statement.
“Abrahams joined the Israeli second division side at the start of the current season, and impressed during his spell abroad, recording three goals and three assists across 11 league appearances.”
Stellenbosch did not state the reasons for the South Africa youth international’s return from the European country.
The statement simply indicates that “he will be available for selection for the remainder of the campaign.”
The Amajita player had signed for Kfar Saba on a season-long loan last July, but has returned to South Africa with three months to go before the 2025-26 Liga Leumit campaign ends.
Stellenbosch FC had then described Abrahams’ transfer to the Israel outfit as being “aimed at providing him with valuable football experience and first-team game time abroad.”
The 2025 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations-title winner joined Gavin Hunt-led Betway Premiership team last year and made his debut in March 2025.
Kfar Saba had welcomed the South African touting his potential in the attacking third.
“Faiz is considered one of the rising talents in South Africa, he has recently won the African Championship with his national team and is even expected to play in the upcoming World Cup,” reads the Israeli’s team’s statement.
