Italian side, AC Milan has officially announced a new contract for Nigerian U20 international Victor Eletu, a move that secures the midfielder’s future at the San Siro until at least 2027.
The player agreed a contract extension with the Italian side ahead of the 2025-26 season, and comes with a two-year extension keeping him at the club until at least 2027, with an option for a third year.
Despite a string of injuries, the 20-year old remains a highly rated prospect within the Milan youth system.
According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca DiMarzio, the Rossoneri view Eletu as a vital piece of their future plans, and the new deal is a clear indication of their commitment to his recovery and development.
Before his injury troubles, Eletu was a standout performer for AC Milan’s Primavera (U19) side, where his dynamic midfield play and leadership skills earned him recognition.
The new contract comes with a clear development path. Eletu will be integrated into the club’s newly formed U23 squad for the upcoming season, which will compete in Serie D.
His new contract and role with the U23 team provide a clear pathway to achieving that goal. Eletu was included two in the AC Milan squad for matches in Europa League and one in the Serie A, but was unused. He was a crucial part of the Flying Eagles team at the2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
