Ademola Lookman scored his first goal of the 2025-26 season as Atalanta shared the points with AC Milan in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday in the Serie A.
The Nigeria international received a pass from Mario Pasalic in the Milan penalty area and struck past goalkeeper Mike Maignan to level the match in the 35th minute. Samuele Ricci had previously given Milan an early lead inside five minutes.
After a long transfer standoff that left him excluded from the Nerazzurri squad for an extended period at the beginning of the season, Tuesday marked Lookman’s first goal in seven matches. The reigning CAF Men’s Player of the Year returned to action for his club team in late September.
Atalanta’s form has suffered without their key player, who provided 39 goals over the last three seasons and played an important role in qualification for the UEFA Champions League the last two seasons. The club currently sit in sixth place on the table with 13 points from 9 matches.
The English-born forward will look to build on his goal contribution total during a busy stretch for his club. The Bergamo side will next travel to face Udinese on Saturday before returning to Champions League action next Wednesday at Olympique de Marseille.
