Ademola Lookman goes missing amid transfer standoff with Atalanta over Inter move

Tensions are rising in Bergamo, as Ademola Lookman has reportedly gone off the radar while attempting to force a move to Inter Milan, according to the latest reports from Italy.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport revealed on Tuesday evening that Atalanta’s management has been unable to reach the 27-year-old Nigerian international, who has not shown up for training for the second consecutive day.

The newspaper indicated that Lookman has left the city of Bergamo, and his current whereabouts remain unknown to the club — with only his agent reportedly aware of his location. This has forced Atalanta to negotiate directly with his representative, further complicating the situation.

The player’s disappearance is seen as an escalation in his efforts to pressure Atalanta into allowing a move to Serie A rivals Inter.

Transfer Tug-of-War

Inter Milan have submitted an offer reportedly worth €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons, but Atalanta remain firm in their stance, demanding €50 million including bonuses to sanction the deal.

The standoff now enters a critical phase, with Lookman’s absence only adding to the drama. Whether Atalanta will soften their position or Inter will raise their bid remains to be seen — but it’s clear the situation is far from resolved.
