Super Eagles and Atalanta attacker Ademola Lookman expressed his joy at helping the Serie A club confirm their place in next season's UEFA Champions League.

Lookman, who recently ended his goal drought, made it back-to-back games with a goal for Atalanta including in Monday's 2-1 victory over AS Roma.

The Nigerian forward broke the deadlock for Atalanta in the 9th minute, before Bryan Cristante equalized for Roma in the 32nd minute. Ibrahim Sulemana's 76th minute strike, set up by a dribble run and cross by Lookman from the left flank, proved to be decisive goal for the match.

Speaking after the game, Lookman emphasized the importance of the win and the satisfaction of fulfilling their goal of a top-four finish.

"It’s a great feeling. We knew how important this game was for our Champions League qualification hopes. We delivered a performance that reflected that."

He also added that his side aims to finish the season on a high note and is willing to give his best whenever called upon by his team.

"I always try to be available and give my best whenever I’m on the pitch. The team showed our strength tonight. There are still two games to go, and we want to finish the season with as many points as possible."

With his goal against Roma, Lookman has now netted 20 times this season for the Bergamo-based side, marking an impressive campaign.
