Ghana’s Africa U-20 tournament preparations took another turn with a friendly against Kenya in Cairo on Thursday.
The Black Satellites were held to a 2-2 draw by the East African nation in their second friendly after losing 2-1 to Zambia in their first friendly’
Dreams FC striker Abdul Aziz Musibau stole the spotlight with two impressive first-half goals, showcasing his sharp instincts and clever off-the-ball runs. Kenya, however, responded strongly through Hassan Beja and Lawrence Ouma, levelling the score before the break.
The performance serves as a clear statement of Ghana’s ambitions heading into a challenging Group C, where they will face defending champions Senegal, DR Congo, and the Central African Republic.
With four AFCON titles and a U-20 World Cup to their name, the Black Satellites are aiming for a return to the top and qualification for the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile. Ghana’s campaign kicks off on May 2 against DR Congo in Suez.
